KRS-5 - transparent in wide spectral range from 0.6 microns (red, visible) to 50 microns (far IR).
Crystaltechno Ltd. manufactures spherical plano-convex lenses from fused silica, glass and different types of optical crystals, including KRS-5 (Thallium Bromide-Iodide).
KRS-5 spherical plano-convex lenses are used as focusing transfer optics.
