Thallium Iodide(TlI)

Thallium iodide is particularly suited for doping of alkaline halides for the production of optical lenses and prisms. Thallium iodide is used for the growth of NaI(Tl) and CsI(Tl) crystals for scintillation detectors. These detectors can be used in many applications for gamma-ray and X-ray detections and spectroscopy.
